Academic Planning

Military-connected students often transfer from schools across the United States and around the world. Our counselors work closely with families to review transcripts, evaluate graduation requirements, determine appropriate course placement, and support successful academic transitions.

For general academic planning, course sequence and graduation information, please look at Wichita Falls ISD's High School Course Guide.

Counseling & Support Services

Memorial High School recognizes that military-connected students may experience unique challenges associated with military life, including frequent relocations, deployments, family separations, reunifications, and transitions between school systems. Our counselors, administrators, teachers, and support staff are committed to helping students successfully navigate these experiences while maintaining academic success, emotional well-being, and meaningful connections to the school community.

Relocation Information & Resources

The following information is provided to assist military families relocating to Wichita Falls ISD.

Introduction to School Environment & Processes

Families relocating to the Wichita Falls area are encouraged to learn more about Ben Milam Elementary's welcoming school environment, daily procedures, academic programs, and student support services. Our staff is committed to helping new students and families transition smoothly and feel connected to our school community. To assist with the relocation process, personal campus tours are available upon request, providing families with an opportunity to become familiar with the school and ask questions before their child's first day. Additionally, students have the opportunity to be connected with a peer of similar age and interests through our Student 2 Student program, helping them build friendships and feel at home from the start.

Eligibility for Extracurricular Activities

Memorial High School offers a wide range of extracurricular opportunities, including a dedicated JROTC program that helps students develop leadership, discipline, and teamwork skills.
